FIRST® LEGO® League / Robotics
FIRST® = For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology

Engineering
Through a variety of program types, students learn the basics of the Engineering and the Engineering Design Process.

Squishy Circuits™
Squishy Circuits use conductive and insulating doughs to teach electrical circuits and engineering concepts through play.

Jr. Woodworking Workshops
Projects teach the basics of woodworking: hammering, measuring, sawing, drilling, planing, finishing, etc.

SewingProjects teach the basics of sewing: hand sewing, parts of a machine, threading a machine, control of the fabric, sewing a straight line and on a curve, ribbon casing and adjusting the stitch.

Learn To Tune Your Bike
A collaboration with Velofix Southcoast: Mobile Bike Shop, all ages were helped with tuning their bikes for Summer.

Solar Cookout
Families learned about solar energy and then built simple solar ovens to cook nachos, tortilla pizzas & smores!

Themed Making Nights
Making and challenges based on themes such as: Valentines, Storybook, Easter, Mother's Day & Memorial Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas, etc.

LC Grange Youth Nights
2018 - Our FLL Jr. Team presented their Aqua Adventure project to Grange members. 2017 - LC Makers Families & Grange members collaborated on Mystery Bag Challenges.

Mini-Golf Hole Design & Build
Designed and built a mini-golf hole for a Little Compton Prevention Coalition Fundraiser.
Club Invention
Club Invention is an exciting after-school program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame where children grades 1st through 6th participate in activities focused on creative problem-solving and Innovation!

Rug Hooking
In collaboration with Loop By Loop Studio, children learned the basics of rug hooking and used a kit to craft a mug rug.
